Here is a photo of Simon my eldest son
Simon loves the outdoors especially walking, he is planning a 8 day walking holiday in May in the West Highlands of Scotland. This will entail walking on average 14 miles a day, so as this is his first time he has been doing a series of walks to build up his stamina. He sent me some beautiful pictures which he has taken of the places he has visited which I would like to share with you.So first stop is Derbyshire.
“Derwent Water Dam Gates”
The East Coast Of England
Fabulous Coastal Walks, Villages and Beautiful Deserted Beaches
Simon walked along the Cleveland way passing through Ravernscragg, Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby taking these pictures along the way.
SNOWDON
The following picture were taken on Simon’s climb up Snowdon , I was really proud that he got to the summit taking the High Ridge Route, he said it was a real tester but now feels he has the stamina to tackle The West Highland Way.
Well I Made It! Very pleased with myself, Hope you enjoyed the walks with me! Heres To The Next Time!

A great series of photos PP. It took me back to last summer when we were sat on the balcony of the Bay Hotel in Robin Hoods Bay enjoying a pint of real ale shown on one of your shots.
It was one of the few hot sunny days of 2008, lets hope for better weather this year especially for Simons walk.

Are you going on a Walking Holiday? where abouts in Derbyshire?
27 Jun, 2009
Hi PP, No - no walking holiday. We've taken a cottage in a village called Great Longstone (approx 2 miles North of Bakewell). A good opportunity to visit Chatsworth again.
