One of the roses I was thinking of for my path is called Harlow Carr. It's recommended by David Austin Roses. Apparently it's their newest Northern Rose, and being a northerner myself it would be nice to try and grow it.
I wonder if you saw any growing AA?

No Ginellie I didn't see many roses at all..there were only about half a dozen in the garden altogether. About 10/12 years ago when Harlow Carr was under the auspicies of The Northern Horticultural Society....they had some lovely beds of roses in which they got a bad case of rose sickness...they were all taken out and the ground used for other things....Perhaps when the Education Centre is built they might grow them again?...
