Plant folklore: Possession of rampion promotes quarrels between children.
Rapunzel, in Grimm’s tale is named after Rampion which is the plant which caused her problems.
A Calabrian tale has a maiden uprooting rampion and finding a staircase to a palace under it. Said to be good for treating problems with the mouth or throat.
