Around the garden

I just had a walk around my rather wet garden and haven’t been in my garden for nearly a week due to the rain! I have taken some photo’s of plants that caught my eye.

Your garden is flourishing lovely despite all the rain we are getting your summer house is lovely .
I knew we would get a horrid summer the birds here built their nests high up in the trees if it was going to be sunny they would build their nest on lower branches to shield their babies from the sun.

Lol, I heard the opposite - that high up meant calm weather with less danger of the nests being blown down!
But this year they are high and the weather is awful so your saying works better thank mine...
Your arrangements of containers round the sundial (?) looks attractive. You have some very pretty flowers in your garden and the summerhouse looks fabulous!

Thank you all for kind comments. Bought some Pimms over the weekend and am having a few friends over to sit and relax and to enjoy the summerhouse and the garden.

Hope you had a good weekend with the "opening" of your summerhouse. You have some lovely colour there. Don't know if you saw or already know but Waddy told me about the David Austin rose garden centre and it turns out to be only just 30 mins drive from me and where I don't think you are far from me, turns out won't be far from you either. If you not been there, look it up on net, looks wonderful. :-).

Yes I have been there and it's wonderful! The only thing is I'm not very good with roses. :( I got a freebie rose last year and just plonked it in the ground and hey presto it's doing great. Typical!

Lol, isn't that always the case. I never used to be a fan of roses. All the care they needed was just a pain, literally as I seemed to always get caught by the thorns but now I have more time to look after them I love them so am planning a visit next week and to treat myself :-).
