Toad rescue!

I stood out the front chatting to my friend Tracey on Saturday afternoon and noticed something swimming in the storm drain close to my garden. Looking down we could see two frogs floundering at the sides with no chance of escape. Did they fall or were they pushed?
Tracey lives around the corner so she popped home to get her sons fishing net and we attempted to rescue them
Frog no.1 turned out to be a largish toad
After he was safely placed in the border we went back for his friend
Another Toad but this one was a lot smaller
They both hopped off in to the back garden where there are lots of other frogs and toads. Well that was our good deed for the day……Do toads turn into handsome princes the same as frogs? :o))))

Yeah! Why didn't you kiss them Annie? Lol....good job! We had a tiny wee toad in our glasshouse at the castle last week...so cute! Your big one looks a bit of a brute though doesn't he?!

good for you both, it's a pity that somthing isn't designed and built in, but I don't suppose anyone thinks of it. When I had a baby-bath "pond" i tried to find something to use as a "rescue ladder" in case anything fell in and couldn't get out again

I love toads and frogs Annella, and I hate to disillusion you, but in my experience (woman of the World), neither turn into Princes. I have it on good authority that Mouldy used to be a frog, never mind all that Toad Hall milarky ...I rest my case:-))

I've kissed my Oh a few times Ba and nothing has changed there so I'm inclined to believe you. As for mouldy...well he looks smooth skinned so must have been a frog, toads are knobbly :o))
