Scadoxus multiflora (Blood Lily) flowering

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that my Scadoxus multiflora (Blood Lily) that has been on our bedroom windowsill for months had started off into growth once again.
I hadn’t looked at it until a couple of weeks ago when I went to water the few plants I have there – I was most surprised to see that it not only had a flower bud but that it was already opening!
It is now flowering very nicely at the moment. I have had it in our living room since it began to flower a couple of weeks ago. A few new flowers seem to open every day as the head is made up of dozens of individual flowers & now the head is forming a clear ball shape.
As the petals are so narrow the head of flowers is really difficult to photograph.
I’m taking 1 or 2 photos every day but today’s photo came out totally different to the previous days’ photos.
I thought that the camera settings had been altered from ‘Automatic’ to ‘Incandescent’ or ‘Fluorescent’ as I’ve noticed on my old phone camera that the daylight photos on those settings come out bluish like 2 of the 3 I took today.
If you compare this photo with the one above, which is much nearer the true colours of our living room, you will see what I mean!
Here is a nice close up, the last photo I took today yet it doesn’t have the blueish tone of the previous two.
A nice flower!

The bulb was sent to me from a person in Scotland in September 2011 by someone called Keith. I don't remember if he was a member of this forum or another that I post on. I sent him a bulb of my Amaryllis which he had never grown before & he was very happy when it flowered not very long after getting it! :-))

Glad you liked it, Sandra, I'd never seen this plant before either! The flowers are now coming to an end & in a couple of days they will be finished. :-((

I had it all winter on the windowsill of our bedroom, we very rarely put the heating on there so it spent the winter with whatever temps there may have been. As I only have the one bulb I've not put it outside at all.
I'll treat it the same way I treat my Amaryllis, if I get good results from them then I ought to get equally good results from this bulb!
