Pansies & Violas on the balcony

Hello Balcony - your pansies and violas look really healthy - you are on the way to having a lovely winter show - we bought some violas last weekend from Dobbies - just past Oswestry - they are for our window boxes plus I am putting spring bulbs in this week - we have 3 boxes - Jane

Thanks, Jane! Yes they do look good, don't they? I haven't taken any close up shots yet but the Pansies 'Frizzle Sizzle' have a few flower buds with colour though no actual open flowers at present. They should open fully before the week is out & then I can take some close up photos (aka Macros).

You are going to have a riot of colour soon! Looking forward to seeing more photos.

They'll be beautiful Balc when the flower buds open. I'm looking forward to seeing them and your Amaryllis when they're in flower..

Bush Bernie, that's precisely what I'm aiming for! I checked the flower buds this morning &, though still very tiny, there is at least one flower that's beginning to open! I will see if I can get a close up (macro) shot tomorrow.

Thanks, Janey! I'm looking forward to seeing them flower. As for the Amaryllis, don't hold your hopes up for seeing a picture soon, they are unlikely to flower before the Daffodils do next spring!
