A summer balcony
As it has been such a L – O – N – G time since I last wrote anything about our balcony it occurred to me that it was about time I showed you what our summer balcony looks like.
It’s mostly about this month & last month as before then there is little to show because the plants were still very small & had hardly any flowers.
Views of balcony from the street as a passerby might see it:

Middle of July 2015:
Middle of August 2015:

Balcony illuminated by the setting sun in the middle of July 2015:
I particularly like this last shot with the balcony lit up red with the setting sun! It could have been much better if I’d taken it before entering the house as in the 5 mins before I took it the light was much redder, which is what inspired me to take this shot.

I saw it in the beginning in an earlier blog of yours and was wondering how it was coming along recently. You really have made a great colorful garden!

Its always a treat to see Balcony and once again you have done yourself proud, I take it you are allowed to sit on the grass cos you sure can't sit out otherwise can you, lol..

Thanks for looking at my blog & I'm glad you like it! As it had been a long time since I last did a blog on our balcony I thought you would find it interesting! I like to show how thing evolve over time & this is also something I can look back on a later date to see what I did once.
The local council gardens manager & I had similar ideas for our "gardens" this year as he also planted up the towns flowerbeds & baskets with Begonias! Perhaps I ought to make up a blog showing his handiwork all over town! LOL!
I can't remember having seen so many Begonias planted out all over town as I've seen this year nor have I planted as many on the balcony before as I have this year!
The hanging baskets are stunning even if the Lobelias around the sides have mostly finished & have been cut back in the hope of stimulating a 2nd flowering. I was very pleased with them as this year, for the first time ever, they were all just one colour & not mixed as they have always been before. The very dark blue flowers complemented the bright Apricots & Salmon pinks of the trailing Begonias perfectly! :-))

You've done brilliantly again this year to have so much colour (setting sun or no setting sun)
