FLOODS AT ROTHER VALLEY COUNTRY PARK

These are just a few photos we took of various areas of Rother Valley Country Park, which is 5 minutes from us by car, taken during the really bad floods we had last year (or maybe the year before, time flies by so quickly. The first picture which shows the ground completely covered with water is where the picnic tables for visitors are situated.
Five minutes in the other direction is Ulley Reservoir which burst its banks and flooded the area for about 2 miles around. The road had to be closed for safety’s sake until the fire brigade could get rid of some of the water. Thank goodness it’s a rare occasion.
