Once in a lifetime Fox

The following are some pictures i took in the spring of 2008 hope they will brighten this cold winter evening.
It was while out walking with jamie I spotted looking over a wall a dog fox on a far bank keeping watch on his Vixen and Cubs down in the valley of the field I had no camera and they soon disappeared back into the brambles. This set me thinking and wondered if my 14 x zoom would be up to the distance nothing ventured i made for the same spot the following day (without Jamie)and there he was again posing for me on the other side
With me crouched behind the wall and camera perched on it the Vixen soon emerged followed by two cubs.
they became clearer
mums thinking about sunbathing
You are not going to give me any peace
now what are they up to !!
That looks like food
Tastes Good
Leave my stick alone
Hurry or you will go home to bed
That’s better
Who’s a good Boy
This is hard work
They were finally joined by the dog fox top right,
All are now much closer with the help of a handful of Jamie’s Biscuit’s.They soon moved farther away and back into the brambles.
I never saw them all together again and by late summer the dog was looking very poorly having lost most of his tale.I still hear them but rarley see them.
It was a privelage to take there pictures and will always treasure them
Brian
Sorry this one should have been above the final writing

Lovely Pic's Brian, well caught + lovely write up you put too.
We have foxes too, they had young and now they are all grown up, one though has a deformed tail, looks like it has a large tenis ball stuck in it but doesn't seem to worry it, will have to try and get a picture of he or she. thats if Pebbles isn't chasing it away LOL.

Incredible photos BJS, I really enjoyed this! We do have foxes around here but I rarely see them. They do sometimes show up on my deer camera, poking around the house in the wee hours. Once I got some photos of a coyote chasing a fox right by my garage! Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, they moved out of range of the camera so I never found out what happened to the poor fox.

Hi Brian What super photos with such a lot of interest in them - not just a straight in the eye pose for the camera!
You must treasure them. I would love to have taken some like that little family of foxes.
