these are seedlings collected from Paeonia suffruticosa the Rock, other large Peony plants also grew in the garden where they were collected some years ago and undoubtedly were pollinated by Bees.
there are four in flower in the my garden this what they look like
!
seems to me the bees made a good job
I think I have given at least one of these away to Goy members so they may be different again, but who I don’t remember.

Oh good they should flower in a couple of years.
The pale pink one made a lot more headway when I planted it out,did not expect flowers on it until next year at earliest

pansy.
Best taken from the time they germinate some do that in four or five months others over a year ,moisture temperature light are all a factor.
from then on four to five years is how long they take on average with me .professional growers may do it quicker.

It's not so much collecting the seed as if any has set any, I have a couple that set each year but others never pure species often produce plenty but hybrids I find more difficult
What one do you have ?

Wonderful plants Bjs. I never thought collecting seeds from peonies but I might give it a try seeing yours. Although, I do not have much success growing plants from seeds.
