This next week will be my last week with any real colour until January 2010.sounds terrible so thought i would make the most of it as the sun broke through,The following Acers are all mature trees or shrubs, a few have been with me 40 years, the one by the pond was ten years old when I acquired it.
The Conker tree was planted by my Dad 40 years ago he brought it in a plastic bag and asked if he could plant it on the boundry of the garden,I would guess it is 60 feet high now
This one is at the front of the house and has sun most of the day in summer a few leaves are burnt otherwise its OK
This is the very old one by the pond, the next picture is the same bush looking the opposite way that side is east facing and not showing as much colour
This is a small tree and produces the brightest red in the garden I took so many pictures it was hard to stop,it was on fire, here are 3 that looked good
This is very low growing form happily resting on a log on the edge of the Fern garden
Another small tree turns more apricot in colour
Where are all the leaves Just Pidgeons!
There is the anwser
After a hard mornings work Jamie suggested we make for the kitchen as something smells goodddddddd Mince Pies
