Well it does if you show them which i did for many a year, and have raised new seedlings even longer,About five years ago i called it a day no more carrying heavy clay pots from car to showbench ,the primulas i liked best i propagated from cuttings and when they were safely rooted i composted all the large ones. That done i took down the alpine house that housed them it measured 18ftx8ft and that made life a lot easier( if you look at last years pictures it stood where the decking is now)
The purpose of the explenation is to take you in to another smaller house and see how they progress, hope you enjoy

they are very lovely, I have primroses and the pastel primulas in a west facing border and they have seeded themselves in the lawn, spreading further each year ,they don't seem to mind being mowed and look so lovely

Absolutely lovely Brian. Don't know about an alpine house, more an Aladdin's cave of little treasures. I bet you spend many a happy hour in there. How's about Stradbrook Pink Waves or Stradbrook Veryan, then I could finally find a flower with my wife's name attached! By the way her name is Veryan not Pink Waves :-)

I have just enjoyed your latest blog. How about Jamies Treasure. As I can see into the flowers and see those "pins" can you explain how to tell male from female flowers.
