There are celebrations all over our lovely county today..and sadly I have no white roses in my garden..our Emblem..I should remedy that..
We celebrated yesterday,at Beaumont Park,near us..as they held a Gala day.A fantastic turn out,and lots to see..They hopefully collected lots of money,as the ’friends ’of the park,all volunteers..worked so hard to provide funding for ongoing projects ,and next years plans.Hope you enjoy it..
Local children to entertain us…
The Karate club,and cheerleaders…
The newly rebuilt Bandstand..reopened last Sunday ,so another good turn out…this years project..
This smelled so good,but we resisted,and went to the tea room instead..what a vast array of cakes the ladies had made..,we chose a nice scone with a cuppa..but was very tempted with something more calorific! Lol.
The ferns are looking lovely now,since the last blog about this park..
This pic of Castle Hill in the distance,wasn’t at it’s best,because of the heat haze,but love this view anyway..
We won’t be having Yorkshire pudding tonight,..too warm to cook a dinner..so having Fish,chips and mushy peas..from the chippy! Lol..but just as traditional..plus the fact,we are going off tomorrow,so wanted something easy..My next blog,will be at the Eden Project..going there one day of our holiday..hope it’s fine ! see you all next week .:o))

It's been a long time since I went to Beaumont park, the band stand looks really good. Nice to see it returned to it's former glory.
You were very good resisting the Hog roast.
And that view of Castle Hill is one I used to enjoy everyday on my way to work.

Lovely comments from you all..thank you ...glad you enjoyed the blog and pics..We have seen lots of White Roses today.....on cars,stickers flags etc..it goes way back to the War of the Roses..we were White,and Lancashire was ,and is..a Red Rose...glad we are all friends now! Lol.
It's lovely,they resurrected an old tradition,and decided on a Yorkshire Day...and nice to have pride in it,as well..as most of us have..and the ex pats too..! :o)))
