A day out with friends :o)

Looks a lovely day out and how nice to meet up. I too, just to be polite, would have had to try the shortbread :-).

We were so lucky that day Paul.as it was a thick sea mist all day on the coast..and it cleared just as we approached Exeter..still there when we arrived back ..the rest of the week was fine and sunny :o)

Thank you Jen,it was a lovely day..to say we live so far apart ,we have managed to meet three times this past year..Once when their son got married in S.Yorkshire,and twice on holidays down south..and yes,the Shortbread was conveniently situated by the cutlery and condiment section,so how could we walk by? Lol..

That's a pretty part of the West Country to visit and how lovely those thatched cottages look. Cherry shortbread sounds tasty and you all look so happy and well in that lovely photo. Pleased you had a lovely day ... :o)

Sandra, we loved our day with you and Russell and it is wonderful to be reminded of it on here.
The cafe is called 'The Walled Garden' and is in a small village called Dunsford not far from Exeter.
Thank you both for coming to meet up with us, we enjoyed every minute - you are such a lovely couple.
We must fix it for Ba to join us as I fear she is sulking!!!

More meeting up of GoY members, isn't that just great? The cafe looks a super place, just right for a get together over a cuppa and shortbread.

Reading through the blog has really amused me, it was like old times with Ba popping up and the banter going on and then Waddy popped up as well, I miss those days when we all veered off on a tangent, we need Flori now, then we can go find our ships captain...

Thanks Sue.It just seems coincidental,when we have planned a holiday this past couple of years,that one of our Goy friends either lives nearby,or is in the area..It's lovely to meet up...:o) .I agree,I miss those days too.I know they weren't all about gardening,but we all shared the same daft sense of humour..I hope Ba is going to pop in more often ,and maybe it will entice some of the others back as well.I hope so xx
