MY FAVOURITE DAFFS FOR BLOOMER & SOME OTHER PLANTS NOW

Here are my favourite daffs Thalia. I love their simplicity and grace.

Acer Katsura looking pretty as it comes into leaf.

This is a close up of the leaves.

Brunnera Jack Frost.

Brunnera Looking glass, not as far forward, but beautiful leaves.

More attractive leaves, golden this time. This is Geum Eos. I bought quite a few geums last couple of years.

Clematis Avalanche full of buds and promise, grown in a large pot against south west wall:-)

This is C. Avalanche when I first bought her in 2010 after seeing a pic put on by Floribunda who unfortunately lost hers last winter..

your plants are looking wonderful BA, i got told by a gardening advisor not to buy clematis avalanche ~ he seemed to think they would not do well the next year but i can see from your photos he was wrong.

Hiya\0/ I'm glad I didn't know it didn't flower well Sticki...well I'm glad Avalanche didn't know it either:-) It's evergreen too, that's why I put it outside patio window so it will eventually look nice in winter:-)

Thanks Stroller, I hope B. Looking glass flowers again this year, but its leaves are so decorative any way, I wish it was evergreen. Have you tried splitting Jack Frost? I wonder if it can be split? :-)

Hi Bloomer, I used to have Thalia in my old garden. I fell in love with them from pictures when I was a young woman and still feel the same now I'm a bit older (with freckles);-))

On my list for next year,Ba..I had never heard of them before..but I was never into Daffs much..they were just pretty yellow flowers to me..tete a tete was about my limit as regards names,so thank you teacher(with Freckles ) :o))

When I was little (still with freckles) daffs were my favourite flower, mainly because my favourite colour was yellow and let's face it, I didn't see many flowers where I lived. As I became very sophisticated lol I changed my fave colour and flower...then I saw Thalia. Unfortunately, as they only bloom for a short while, they don't appear anywhere in my ever changing favourite flower list:-)
