A Pleasant Afternoon

Have just spent a very pleasant afternoon visiting The Old Gunner and his wife Joy. He only lives a few miles from me, and this is the second time we have met. The first time was at my place. They are a lovely couple and it felt like we had known each other for years. We sat on the patio at the top of the garden with tea and scones, and chatted about our gardens, plants and of course the GOY site. It was great. This site has a lot to answer for…… but it has brought me two new friends, so thanks GOY.

Yes they have. It is quite steep and they have only been working on it a couple of years, so when it matures it will be really lovely.

Sorry to disappoint you, no we just had butter. Jam and Cream ???????
29 Jul, 2010
I have fond memories of having scones at a friend's place every week for morning tea. I'd lick the jam and cream off the top then give the rest to Dad to finish for me ;oP
