Wish I could make it..its a bit far for me. Was in York in May last year. Lovely cottage in Newton on Ouse.

Well I wouldnt have been able had it not been for this advertised trip, and decided I needed a break anyway. Shame you cant get there Tet, would have been nice to meet up.

I nearly got inveigled into going up to Scunthorpe in mid march..a friend of a friend's 80th, but to be quite frank I didnt fancy driving all that way for one night and back again. I love driving but havent done much for 3 months..all this bad weather and nowhere much to go..need a few shorter trips first to get back in the swing..

I know that feeling, I am going off driving anyway.

I have only driven 3 times since december, damn gammy leg

Well I am definitely going to DD's, dont know which day yet, but would like to go to Spritz's as well, as that is fairly close to me.

i bet its great cinders, i love harrogate and im sure anything there would be tip top and i love york to, would love to go myself, baz hates harrogate :o( will look up coach trips here and see which days its on

I think its on for three days San, but my trip goes to York on the 16th. I think it could be 15th - 17th. Yes I like Harrogate, I have been there, but years ago. Will be lovely to go again, even tho I expect our time there will all be at the show.

Oh Cinders,what a shame..we have just booked to spend 3 nights at a hotel we went to for my birthday last October,as we got the offer of reduced price tickets for Friday,the 15th.,from the Company I used to work for,as they are going on one of their retired staff days out.,but I might surprise you too,if we can manage to come home via York,on the way home?..won't promise,but will see what I can do..it would be great to meet up with you all..It is quite expensive to go in the Cathedral now,Cinders,but you sound as though you will be having most of the day there ?so you will have time,if you want to do so..By the way,17th is the last day of the show..so should have bargains to be had.:o))

O Sandra, that is a shame, but never mind, perhaps something else will turn up yet. I have definitely booked it this morning over the net. I am getting quite excited about it already. I am coming up with a male friend, so don't know what he will think of me meeting up with all these Goyers. But I don't care really, he can go off on his own if he doesnt like it !! He is coming for company for me really.
