That is so lovely, my daughter-in-law has one that has also flowered again, I do not understand what I do wrong with mine, I follow the instructions but its only ever flowered once when I first had it, instead it produces little bulblets...

I have had mine for over 20 years -( well the ones I have now are bulblets grown on from the original). You feed it after the flower has died, and after a few months let it dry out completely and remain dry and dormant through the summer. Some people actually turn the pot on its side to make sure it doesn't get wet. In the autumn it may start to grow by itself, in which case start to water it again. If it doesn't, you can begin to water it any time during the autumn and away you go again. If you want the flowers for Christmas and it hasn't decided to grow itself you can start watering it a few weeks before. Sometimes the flower spike is the first thing to appear.

Yes hippeastrums win the prize for speedy growth don't they? This one is beautiful. If you feed it with a high potash feed when it has finished flowering you may get more than two of those lovely flowers on it next time.
