Welcome guests

Having spent all my spare time this year trying to turn a wilderness into a garden of sorts, I took advantage of the cooler weather today and in between the showers started to move some old bricks from what is my shady corner.
As I picked one up underneath it were two toads in a hollow under the brick.
I have no idea how long they have been there or if they will stay in the garden, what I can say is I don’t seem to have a slug problem.

Great for getting rid of the slugs, I wish they would come and eat mine!

Could this be the reason why I only have loads of snails and not one slug. I saw one in my garden.

Wow thats a smashing find, I`d build them a little home somewhere else if you need that area, preferably with the old bricks and in the shade......
Nearly forgot Chris. Welcome to Goy.

Welcome to goy, and I would echo Lincslass and make sure it has a home in the shade.

Have no worries about my guests.
They have been alloted a small portion of real estate in the shady corner of my small and crowded garded.
I have consrtucted a des res out of an old plant pot and some old bricks.
I am expecting a sleepless night tonight due to them holding a house warming party.

'Come on let's crawl (gotta crawl gotta crawl)
To the ugly bug ball (to the ball to the ball)
And a happy time we'll have there, one and all at the ugly bug ball'

Why not consider putting in a small pond? We've got a tiny one, it's a bit smelly and dirty and the frogs love it. The other night when I went out to the shed in the rain (I keep my freezer in it) the patio was full of frogs hopping all over the place. Next door to me have a massive pond and I think most of these frogs come from there as every year they have masses of frogspawn floating on the water. You don't need a big pond to attract frogs!!
