The Garden

So here it is the garden warts and all that Kim, and I built over the years, Sadly Kim died three weeks ago on the 2nd august and even though you know it is coming nothing seems to take away the utter pain that you feel inside.
It is not looking the best it has been, as this year has been taking up with caring for Kim and the weather through July and August was dire, still had some happy slugs and snails. Last few days I have been back outside and started to get things back in order and hopefully by next spring I can get it back to how we wanted it to be.
If you would like to see some more of my garden photo’s I have a web site, davids-photolife.com where you can also see gardens I have visited around Devon

Hi Davey, so sorry to her about Kim passing away. 😥 I knew she was very ill from your blogs but, as you say, nothing can prepare you for when the moment actually comes.
I hope the garden will help you during your period of grieving. Between you both you have created a lovely garden with lots of things of interest.
Your Dahlias are looking very good!

Sorry to hear about Kim, but the garden looks very much loved. I've had a quick look at your website BTW, plenty there to see, enjoy and admire

Once again Dave, I am so so sorry about Kim.
She is not in pain anymore.
Your garden looks good to me and I think you have done so well to get back on here.
You will be able to walk round your garden and in time will be able to have happy memories with the garden you have created together.
I shall definitely have a look at your web site.
Stay strong!

What would we do without our gardens Dave!
What Feverfew said is right! Kim will be with you especially when you are in the garden and hope you get some comfort from that.
I just wish I could miss out the winter!

Feel the same as you Rose, next month will be hard as it would have been our anniversary and Kim's birthday and the long old winter nights aint going to be fun, but I am waiting for a new hip which I hope they will do back end of the year ready to get cracking again in the spring

Oh Davey my heart aches for you, Kim is now painfree and that thought will help ease some of your pain, I hope your lovely garden brings you as much peace as mine does to me, I sit out in mine and talk to my Derek as though he is still with me......Given a like for the photographs of your lovely garden which you shared and both tended with love....xxx

Thank you again for your such kind comments, we had a celebration of Kim's life yesterday which was lovely and managed to raise £600 for the local hospice that cared for Kim on the night

I hope you don't have to wait to long for your hip Dave so that you are fit and ready for gardening next year.
That was wonderful what you did for the hospice.
I did look at your web site and it was brilliant!
Take care xx

Davey, I'm so very sorry to hear of Kim's passing. My thoughts are with you and all of your family. I know that Kim had been ill for some time, but, when that time comes, I don't think any one is ever prepared. I'm hoping your beautiful garden gives you some solace at this time and in the future too. You'll have some lovely memories in the garden you both created and enjoyed together. Like the others said, it's a place to feel Kim with you..
It's a wonderful thing you did for your local hospice, so kind and they will be so grateful for your help and support.
Hoping you will not be waiting long to have your hip surgery carried out. Keeping everything crossed for you.
You'll be fighting fit for the Spring.
Sending my best wishes x

Thanks Rose and Kate, yes, the hospice deserves all the help it can get, and we were so pleased and chuffed to have been able to support it a little bit, as times are a bit hard and a lot of charities are struggling now, and yes hopefully get hip sorted this year
