wow, even the bees don't care it's November. They should be in hibernation. Amazing garden there Dawn and you still have tomatoes! We had one frosty night and my tomatoes were done. The green ones are ripening on my kitchen counter thanks to Steragram's fantastic advice.

Hi Stera, that Feverfew is a self set plant and its been flowering and flowering for weeks and the leaves are such a vibrant lime green.
No I've never know a November like it, we normally get frosts mid October that annihilates everything.
Bathgate, shame you lost your tomatoes, I was going to take mine off but then decided to leave them on the plant to ripen as its been so mild, they dont taste as good as in summer but better than supermarket ones. There are lots of red ones still on.
Yes, I was surprised to hearing the buzzing bee on the Arbutus unedo, he looked tired zzzzzz.

He has a "smorgasbord" of flowers to feast on. Good for him.

Very nice...a lovely mild Novemeber, so far.i can hardly believe it. Out in my garden today it's was almost warm but, being a fairly new garden, I have nothing like as much colour as yours.

Neither have we Paul, the wet has finished a lot of our plants off this year, a very wet August didn't help...
Lucky you Dawn, so much colour, hard to believe it is nearly the middle of November, and long may it continue!!

Dawn, re Feverfew, did you know it can be used as a migraine preventative? You eat a leaf a day, between slices of bread and butter (presumably to tone down the incredible flavour...)
Bathgate, good to hear your toms are ripening!

You have almost the same selection left as us Dawn except the tomatoes that is we have one left on the greenhouse shelf ripening Lol .. isn't it nice the flowers are lasting so long , I love the Bumble bee enjoying the Arbutus , I am envious of the Chinese lanterns :o)

Its grand Dawn, I too have plenty which is a pleasure to see, out of curiosity I checked back to last years November blog and discovered it was pretty much the same here all except the roses, I have three flowers on different shrubs today, this time last year I had a lot in bloom on nearly all climbers and shrub, my toms finished early this year and I cleared them out weeks ago, last years plants were doing well right up until late November and I had to ripen them laid out on trays on the shelf indoors...
Lovely photographs..

Great Dawn! I'm really enjoying my Arbutus at the moment. They are both flowering really well and the big one at the back has lots of fruit on it as well. They are gorgeous plants!

Looks great Dawn. You are lucky having blooms so late on. It has been so windy and wet here I can't imagine any flowers surviving the weather.

Who said November was drab ...

It is so mild, but due to change apparently at the end of the week, flowers in Nov in my garden are due to the mild conditions Im sure although I have worked on autumn colour.
Shame DD, we didnt have as much wet weather as you in Aug.
Wow Stera, no, didnt know about feverfew as a migraine cure, i remember you saying about trying our wild garlic in bread, I must do that next spring.
Hi Linclass, November like this is a one off for us, glad you're plants generally do good well into the year.
Karen, Arbutus are amazing, I agree.
Lol Hywel.

It tastes pretty awful and very strong Dawn! When you try the garlic leaves in a sandwich put them with ham for starters. We haven't tried them with anything else but perhaps cheese would be good too?

You have a lovely lot of colour there still Dawn. I enjoyed the Feverfew especially - could almost taste it! The grass against the sky looks fabulous - and what an amazing bunch of tomatoes still going strong! Can you remember a November when there was still so much going on in the garden? Love the last two pics as well, what a lovely contrast, dainty versus chunky...
