Belated birthday wishes to you ... you certainly have some pretty flowers in bloom right now. I split two Geums yesterday and left them in water overnight before replanting them to a less bone dry spot!

Happy Birthday, it's still the same week after all! I love the Alstromeria, I have a few, but why are they so expensive? The Japanese Anenome is also pretty, but having battled for 9 years with the pink one, to get rid, I am a bit wary of any of the others.

Hello all, lovely to log on and see all your comments, thank you for my birthday wishes.
SBG lucky it has that to cling to by chance, I have staked before but because I split it this year thought it would grow slightly shorter but seems to have just flopped, need to rethink as it is at the back of border and can't really see it that well :-)
Thank you Siris :-)
June, it would look good with geum, it is supposed to contrast with rudbeckia but can't really see it this year at the back :-/ ohh I've got lots to do too but gets a bit messy this time of year, we keep trying :-))
Bloomer and Honeysuckle the anemone is really pretty but quite vigarous this was a tiny shoot from neighbour a few years ago and we dug it all out but obviously missed a bit :-))
Thanks Shirley and Lincslass, yes Shirley I think the geums like a bit of moisture I had totally tangerine dry out on me after a couple of years :-))
Thanks again all :-))

happy birthday for yesterday. I hope you had a lovely day. The garden certainly celebrated for/with you. I love the flowers at this time of year.
I have a tall aster that I grow up through a dog wood otherwise I would have to stake it and I do try to avoid stakes.
