I thought some of you may like to see what my garden was looking like today.
Main border
Showing main border again together with the round bed and archway
Side border and arch. OH had wee problem with lawn spreader – I was devastated. Hopefully it won’t take too long to recover!!
Round bed
Arch with Crown Princess Margarita
Front garden planted during the autumn last year after we had work done on building a wall.
Not perfect, but I enjoy it and it’s my haven.
I’ll try and put a few close ups of my plants on my photos page tomorrow.

Your garden is lovely. I like that trellis on the side of your house, and the arch is beautiful. I've got that rose but it never grows much.

It looks lovely Digginfit, your lawns look great in spite of your slight mishap, love the curves, I sometimes dream of having a perfect lawn but I have my dogs so its actually impossible unless they were never allowed out there and that wouldn`t be fair..
Your borders look amazing, I like your plant choices and the way you have them all set out.
Thankyou for the tour I enjoyed it....

All healthy and beautiful I'm sure the grass will regrow but I'm sure you're devastated I would be.

Thanks evryone for the lovely comments. There is another trellis also Hywel at the very center of the front of house. My OH constructed them. They have hinges at the bottom, so that the climbers can remain in situ on the trellis if the walls need re-painting. All we will have to is un-hook the trellis and lower it down. Thr rose has done really well this year.
Thanks Steragram.
Thank you very much Lincslass. The plant choice is really all to with what is available at the local GC! Sometimes they have some really good, mature plants - and of course I can't resist! We all dream of things we'd like, but we have to have the things that suit our lifestyle. Goodness, the things I ream about! I don't have dogs, but do have 2 cats so it's amazing that I have so many birds actually.
It's such a shame about the grass Kfunsters. We had got the lawn looking good but we thought we'd apply another bit of weedkiller and feed to get it looking really good!! Hmm..... Best laid plans and all that. If all else fails, we can always lay a path!!

What a fabulous garden, love it Dgginfit. I'm sure the lawn will soon pick up with all this rain.

Beautiful garden!

What a good idea are those hinges. Makes it a lot easier I should think, and saves getting paint on the trellises.

it looks very lovely to me ~ a haven is exactly what it should be and you have definitely created that!

Thanks evryone. The hinge idea came from something I read in an old gardeners world magazine Hywel.
