More close up Pix

I can't really say what the proper size is Brad but there are quite a few different Petunias in there (Pix 1,2,3,22,23,24,25,26,30) and a Dianthus (pic 12) which is one of the smallest flowers shown here.Pic 14 is the smallest flower head shown although I don't know the name of it (like a miniature Carnation), which should give you an idea of the original sizes.On the photography side of things the dimensions are 3264 x 2448 pixels taken on an 8M pixel Canon Ixus80 IS camera.I'm not really a gardener or a photographer but have an interest in both as well as art.I may have a go some time at painting some of these pix but on a larger scale,to me it is just another form of art.Imagine some of these close ups painted at say 2 - 3 feet square,that would stand out on your wall!
I just set my camera to macro mode and in auto,get close and take the shot,then zoom in a bit further and get an even closer shot of the Stamen and other parts of the plant.

iv got a finePix S5700 only 7.1 pixels''''''your pic look great;;;;im 6 ft 4;;;and im looking for plant flower's over 5 ft i hate bending bad back...only have to plant ...and let them grow..not much weeding if poss

Lovely close up photos, well done. I love taking them too and have an almost identical one of the bright pink Cosmos (no,7) in my pics and am thinking of having a canvas or large photo made from it. I'm currently experimenting with odd angles and settings and am slowly compiling a blog. The trouble is picking which ones to include!

Quite a few members take close-ups Diydick, some of us love them :-))

have got some closeups on mine ,but not that close. u cud print these of and sell them to frame. may b start of a new venture i think .great pics

Don't know if anyone would buy my prints Cristina,selling artwork isn't easy.
I used to run my own art club and teach it there.I have also over the years sold some of my paintings at exhibitions and privately,got awards and done commissions for people.But as I say, its not easy selling them.It's a great idea though,thanx.

well i love original art and have a few that frends have dun 4 me, i think its far nicer to have than sum cheap print run of the mill lol. i have art distintion from collage but havent drawn in ages. it comes out 4 me in my home, love interia design and of cos gardening ,crafts etc. may be shud start again . get some pics on here of your work and hey who knows. my frend in spain did a painting of my lovely dog who died last oct. and broght it over. i admire it every day . so come on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
