Containers with faces

For some time I have looked for pots/containers with faces. This is as far as I have got in my travels. Only four pots. One was a present. Two were bought and one I made in a pottery class years ago.
The white one is more a plant holder/vase, as it has no hole, has lavender hair. The small lady, (a present lady) has some tiny sempervivum ruthenicum. Sole survivors of the cold winter. The ugly man I made myself, painted, and fired at pottery class ages ago. He is wearing a little pot of Narcissus canaliculatus from Selborne, Gilbert White’s house, where we had a lovely visit with friends this weekend. The gent on the end was from Tatton Park Flower Show. He has had spectacular grass hair some time ago. Just for photographic purposes he is wearing sempervivum that did survive the winter.
Not My fritillaries. These are in the garden at Selborne. Down in the in the vegetable garden I saw one just like my sole survivor, small, been chewed and not blooming. Sure enough there was a lily beetle perched on a leaf.
More frittillaries at Selborne. I used to have a few but they vanished.
A close up of the tiny Narcissus Canaliculatus I bought at Selborne. Taken on the plant sales display stand. Hope I have the name right, as I was talking to someone at the time of writing it down

Yeah Great he has a lid and someone said he would make a good biscuit barrel. I got his lips not really as I would want. He is more french onion seller with his beret on. Anyway he landed in the garden. So far he has been frost proof.

I love your collection of face pots. You are so clever to have made one and I think he looks like Hercule Poroit :) Glad you enjoyed your weekend at Selborne, looks like an interesting place to visit.

I finally found the wonderful face pots you gave me a link to Southerngal. Next door have a male torso but he would look odd with lavender growing out of his neck! The surroudings they were on display in were like a film set. Way out of my league. They just are not very easy to find. The hairdos were very well done indeed. thanks for pointing them out to me.

I discovered Containernut has a web sight, she has a whole family with a funny story about them. Her stuff is really elegant. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I do. stonefacecreations.com I purchased a couple and I am not impressed with the quality.
