Things I would like to implement in my new garden

Was told by a new physiotherapist specialising in back injuries, that I need to be off work for another week. Will see my Dr tomorrow to discuss that with him & will then decide what I am going to do. In the meantime, to cheer myself up, I am going to do a blog about things I am planning for my garden over the next two years. My poor OH is in for a busy time!

We have a rather dilapidated patio which requires attention on the roof, so I thought a complete overhaul would be rather nice, & could be transformed into this without too much trouble.

I love this unusual arch & my OH has said he will make it up for me in the summer to divide our large back garden area. I love the fact that it is so different from most other arches I have seen.

Oh, I want this! I love bird houses & I love clematis. I think this is so pretty & have the exact spot in the back garden for it.

My OH has just planted a hedge of Lonicera Nitada, along the width of our frontage. It is a ver quick-growing hedge & we are putting Pickett gates at driveway & front path entry. I really love this planting of lavender or catmint along either edge of the path & would lead prettily up to the front door.

I am a great fan of container planting & I love these big glazed pots. I think I will find a spot in our back or side are for something like this& we have a large shop not too far from us, which specialises in big glazed pots like this one.

I tend to place old wooden or metal chairs in various places around the garden,& I like to paint them in bright colours to act as a foil to the greenery around them. I haven’t done one in orange before, but I think this is quite appealing so may give it a go.

Enjoyed your blog Dwylis. The chairs are a good idea as often found in recycle centres.
I do Spine Extension Exercises daily as the weight of the head presses the Vertebrae down in later life.
Swimming also helps as it exercises the spine.

If you keep thinking up these ideas hubby will be relieved in more ways than one when you are back at work, lol......

Lol Lincslass ..... My OH is always asking me to come up with ideas for the garden, & then he starts making plans on bits of paper. We are now both just 4.5 years off retirement, so we are trying to get the garden all set up so that most of the heavier work has been done & we will be able to do mainly planting & maintenance on it. A lot of work to do! Also a lot of renovation work to do in the house at the same time, so we are going to be busy.
Diane .... The physiotherapist has given me some exercises to do on laying down, to try to relieve pressure off the pinched nerve & back on medication to get swelling & inflammation down. The patient who attacked me, has thankfully been moved to another ward & we have been told she will not be coming back onto our ward ..... After we have had to care for her for eight months! I hope she comes right, & I hope my back comes right. Was in a lot of pain right down to my foot last night, but improved after a night of rest. Thank you for your suggestions. I see the physio again tomorrow.
