A little colour again.

Our double wall on the terrace used to involve us in lots of weeding. The hyacinth bulbs we planted every year made a lovely show but quite a bit of work was involved digging out the bulbs and planting others. In the end we decided to remove all the soil and simply place pots in the “hollows”.

We vary the flowers each year and this year have planted mainly verbena, begonias, and dahlias. Even the postman has commented that they look good!

They look fabulous but aren't they just as much work? Your postman obviously has good taste...

Very pretty and colourful ... just what you need :)

Steragram: Not a bit. We were always weeding the wall interior. Now we just plonk a plant pot in the hollow as we have a weed-suppressing membrane underneath. Easy!

D. Daisy: Have to agree as at least we have colour now.

Hywel: Agreed! A Spring garden is nice (!) but the rest of the year shrubs are just....green!
