Jasper was beautiful :)

Jasper looked to be a bundle of mischief! Happy Christmas to you and yours Eirlys.

Jasper and Horace were brothers. They were our daughter's but when she moved she asked us to look after them for a while,. That turned out to be 17 years! As they had been brought up on the edge of a Nature Reserve we felt that transferring them to a more urban area would be a culture shock!

They were lovely cats, very different in temperament. Jasper was obedient: Horace, a bit of a thug! They only quarrelled once and it was so vicious I waded in. Jasper left obediently : Horace''s weight and struggles pulled me over. I hit my eyebrow bone on the old picnic table that was now used as a potting area. I bled copiously and still have a scar, so I shall never forget Horace!

Our "new" rescue cat is quite different. She is very affectionate, inquisitive and possessive. We're so glad she is now ours.

17 years is a long 'while' Eirlys! That's a heck of a way to remember Horace.

Well done on finding such a lovely rescue cat too. We were trying to figure out how many hours our cat, Megan, sleeps per day and reckon it's about eighteen hours! We think she's about fifteen years old now so I guess she deserves to sleep for so long ... :o)

Sage, our little cat, is very definite about what she wants. She taps me on the shoulder and on my face when she sits next to me. Make me jump at times! She sleeps well but is immediately alert when I move. She is 13 and we have had her 21 months. Older cats need homing but the CPL tell me people prefer kittens.
