Lily photo

If this photo does not arrive on here, I shall give up! I don’t know how I did it and whether one can, seems to depend on which medium was used to take the picture and upload it to Facebook.
If it comes through, you will see the proud Grandad (my son-in-law holding Lily for the first time. He is not quite sure what he thinks ofhis new status. Lily looks as if she is knitting with those long fingers. LOL
I hope you all like it.

Thank you everyone. I was so touched by your remarks that I have taken copies which will be forwarded to Lily's Mum for their birth history book.
I shall now try to get back down to earth and start taking photos of flowers again. xx

A lovely flower she is, too! :-)) A very nice name for such a lovely looking baby girl! :-))
We are expecting to be proud grandparents for the 2nd time before Christmas as well! Our daughter is expecting her 2nd child but has had complications. The doctors expect to have to do a caesarean section in the coming weeks. She spent the best part of last week in hospital after a haemorrhage the Friday before. She's back home now but the doctors have ordered permanent rest till the birth. Very difficult for her with a 3 & 1/2 year old daughter to attend to!

I do hope your daughter keeps well for the birth of your second grandchild, Balcony. It is worrying when complications arise. I hope your toddler granddaughter will be patient with mom and be content with cuddles as mom rests.

Poor lass:just when one is already fed up with the level of inactivity, to be told not to do anything at all must be so frustrating. I do hope that the situation improves and that she gets through it without continuing complications. Please let us know when it all happens.
Thank you for your lovely comments about Lily, Balcony and you too Mavis. x

Thanks for your concern & I will indeed keep you informed of how she gets on.
It is very difficult for her. She has had to give up work for the duration of her pregnancy & her partner has had to take on all the responsibility of the house, their daughter & go to work, knowing our daughter is exposed to another haemorrhage at any moment.
My wife calls her several times a day to see how she is getting on but she is more worried for her partner than for herself! The stress he is suffering is only going to get worse till the baby is born.

Yes, Balcony...do keep us posted. It's a worrying time for yourself and your wife as well and as you mention your daughter's partner is carrying a heavy responsibility alongside all the worry. Take care...

Well it certainly looks as if Lily approves. How gorgeous she is and how proud, understandably, Grandad is!
Congratulations all round.
