Hubby was given a bunch of flowers today for me … in thanks for a favour he had done someone … lucky me to get the reward!

As he walked back to the car he met a female friend & when she saw them she said ’ Oh boy … you must be in trouble for something!’ as she thought he’d bought them as an apology!

I came home from work to find them already in a vase of water too!

Lilies … yellow & white … I wish I had smelly vision on my laptop for you … they are so fragrant! … with 3 yellow roses…

Then I went outside to water the garden & found things were looking bright & cheerful again after a few days sun … the crocosmia …

And the little blue Greek wall pot is completely covered in purple!

The balloon flowers are doing better than ever before …

I’ve moved the tinkling toadstools cos they never tinkled properly …

The verbena is so bright & colourful …

The clematis has gone way up to the bird house …

Oh … & this is what you get if you put whole potatoes in the compost bin & then use it on the garden!!

This is Michael’s bench … you wouldn’t know I was married to an ex – serviceman would you? Look at the state of that brass! Tsk tsk!!

No spuds here!!

And lastly I found this on the decking … what a lovely surprise!

Reminds me of Greece!

Then I went up to bed early as I’m shattered these days & this beauty was just showing up over the fields…

Thru’ the shufty scopes …

And a train went by but it was too fast for me!!

That was all 2 days ago … tomorrow is Friday again … thank Crunchie!! :o))

Isnt it lovely to get little surprises. I dont know about your toadstools never tinkling Fluff but I think the sound of our waterfall is throwing me in overdrive, as I`m always tinkling.lol.

Lovely Fluff, and you sound so happy. No wonder with such a profusion of flowers in your garden and then a lovely bouquet too.
I know the lilies smell lovely, but their pollen does stain, so be careful of the carpet.
Oh yes, I love the Platycodon.

Thank you everyone ... Friday evening has arrived hooray!!!

Thanks Seaburn ... I must dig them up & see what's underneath! ;o)

Yes Cristina .... a good day that ended with a bunch of loveliness! :o))

Nite Tulsa ... thank you... hope you had a peaceful kip! :ozzzzz

Lol Stroller ... I would LOVE a waterfall in the garden but I know what you mean! Even our little water feature has that effect! :o/

Shirley ... thank you ... I intend to spend all day Saturday in the garden which is restful to me after a hard week's work ... why oh why are candles still so popular?! :o?

Hi Elsiemay ... thank you ... how is sunny Norfolk? I love my toadstools! :o))

Pip C! How are you? Yes there are still one or two colourful corners in the garden! Thank you! ;o)

Grandmage ... the toadys are fairly robust ... & you could always tell the grandchildren they belong to the fairies & musn't be touched! Thank you for your comments. :o)

Thank you Mad ... I will be careful with the pollen ... in fact I cut the stamens out as the pollen is dangerous for the cats & a florist friend told me they last longer without them. The garden flowers do make us feel happy don't they? Don't you think Platycodon is a very stark name for such a pretty flower?!
Sounds more like a dinosaur!! ;o))

Hi Carole ... thank you ... yes I am very lucky to be given flowers! :o)))

Wonderful blog, Fluff, and your garden looking so good! Over here in my part of Wilts we despately need rain, everything really dry! What a lovely bunch of flowers, even nicer when they were so unexpected! Enjoyed your great blog :~))

Thanks Flori! We haven't had much rain either ... the lawn is cracking open & if I'm not very conscientious with the watering cans things wilt like mad! It keeps threatening rain with big, dark clouds but nothing happens. That last quick downpour was all we've had & it never touched the pots!
