A home made 3 tier plant stand

Hello everyone, If you have managed to take alook at some of my photo’s, you will see the one in front of the G/H. withall of the potted plants on it. It’s bare now, so before I fill it with winter storage plants, there might be a few GoY freinds who might be interested in it.It has been a good way for me to put some more plants on show in my garden.

The first photo shows it as a 2 tier stand. the bottom shelf is removeable, and when in position slides in and out.

This photo shows it fitted and fully pulled out.

This is a closer look at the extended bottom shelf.
There is a lip around the top and second shelf. This is so that i can put a layer of polythene on the shelf and up the sides. This holds water and watering is easier this way. When the pots are watered enough, I just turn over a corner of the polythene to drain.
You know silly me I’ve forgotten to take a photo of it pushed in under the middle shelf. But I think you get the general idea. By the way there is no wooden parts touching the floor.I have used some plastick chipboard joiners, this lifts the wood off the floor about 1/2 in. and saves it rotting too quickly. At the very top there is at each end somewhere for me to attatch some poly. frost protection, and cover all of the plants.

This shows it in use and to the left of the photo you can see what I have done over my storage bunker, but has got to be extended to hide the containers that the council in their wisdom have given all of us to sort out our rubbish. But my brain is ticking over with plans for that.It might give me more plant pot space …….seeyouall soon Frank

Hi all, Yes of cause you can copy it Bob. I have got to make a similar one for my mate. As soon as he saw it he wanted one. Lucky he can get wood for free. He gives me some when I need any.
