They really are a gorgeous bird, Oddbillie. The photo doesn't really show up the beautiful colours in his feathers - the blue is brilliant.

Beautiful shot.....My parents called our house Kookaburra's, and Dad said it was because it was so noisy...just like the Kookaburra's......but they are beautifulbirds.....

Milky - well the kookaburras can make a lot of noise, but I love hearing them. They sing mostly in the mornings just before the sun comes up and in the evenings as the sun's going down - although the youngsters will sing at any time of day really!
