They are beautiful.. Did you know nasturiums are great in salads? They taste spicy, and look so pretty. Mine have finally started blooming. It sure has been a rainy season in New York State too! Everything is so late due to all the rain and colder than usual temp.

My nasturiums started to bloom and we got about a week of 100 degree weather, that kind of fried them. It's thunder and lightning and rain out there now. Usually when this happens we get an early fall. Smells so good outside right now rain on the dust, wheat and yarrow, kind of spicy.

i have eaten my way round the garden this yr RBTP lol

your getting thunder and rain now Weeds and we are finally getting some sunshine, it has been lovely here this week

7 Aug, 2009

Yes, thunder and lightning, Irish. Even flash flood warnings farther north in Washington. Unusual weather for this time of the year here. Glad you are finally getting some sun. Today is sunny but cool and hazy. We are getting a lot of smoke from British Columbia forest fires.
The humming birds here seem to be already feeding up for their migration, they are everywhere, dive bombing each other and checking out everyone who sits on the deck.

9 Aug, 2009

when do the humming birds migrate and where do they go to Weeds
