No - I've had four Cymbidiums in the garden room for three years now. They didn't do too well last year, but three out of the four have flowers on the way - this is the first to flower! :-)))))))))

Thanks Tt and Dd.....I'm really pleased that this plant has produced TWO flower stems this year - so I'll get more flowers next month!
The others with buds just have one each, and the fourth plant is still sulking. :-(((

I do love them - I just wish it was easier to get them to flower!
They are a great pleasure in the winter months. :-)

I have a gold one, a sort of chocolate one, and a deeper pink - that's the one with NO buds this year! I'll post photos when the other two flower. :-))

I love orchids they go on for such a long time.
I have a yellow one with burgungy veins,a large pure white one and a small pure white.
I love white ones because they go anywhere.
I would much rather buy an orchid than other house plants because they are so forgiving and last so long.
They are really cheap now thanks to micro propogation.

beautiful. I like the feel of this strong orchid flower. Mine is producing new leaves... does it mean they are in the right condition to flower again?!

No - they only flower once a year, i'm afraid.
