I have a friend who had so many beans the other year that a lot of the beans almost went to seed I seem to remember that she saved them in jam jars and used them in casseroles in the winter .. she took them out of the pods obviously ! I must ask her if it was a good idea or not ...... ........

Yes hoping it dies down s overnight.Ray working all of BH except tomorrow so we plan a drive up through the moors to a river bank in Glaisdale.Its peaceful there and a favourite spot to watch wildlife. Keep your fingers crossed for the wind to die down for us....x

Sounds perfect Jane have a lovely relaxing day I will keep my fingers crossed for the weather ...... we have an old Oak tree growing on the edge of our ditch , we were looking at it this morning there are very few leaves on it and they are turning brown some small chunky lumps have fallen down in our garden but we aren't allowed to touch it as it has a conservation order on it .. we are concerned about it because if it fell the other side of the ditch it could reach and hit our nearest neighbours property ...... :o(

Thanks Amy.That sounds scary. Was watching the old rooks nests today in the huge sycamore overlooking our garden...swaying precariously in the strong winds.Amazingly they stayed put !! Looks delicious Amy. Lol Jane. We've just come back from a week away, and Grandson was eating Runner bean sandwhiches. Daughter told him he had to eat them so he made a sandwhich. He looked rather green when he was eating it Lol. He's 12. :o)

Our grandsons have been here on their holiday Linda they love beans , they think it will make them into good runners ....:o)) ..... I've never tried a bean sandwich perhaps Ray can tell us what they are like after his picnic today ..LOL...

Hi Amy...well he survived the experience..just LOL ! Had a lovely day out Amy..the weather was not too bad..dry but very cold north easterlies blowing. Guess what...managed to get a couple of shots of a kingfisher. They are not very clear but think you can tell what they are. If you wanted to take a peek they are on my homepage of Ispyabird (where else ) ! I was thrilled to bits ..x

My daughter sent me photo's of our grandson in his new uniform this morning he started at the big school he wil be 12 in Oct. he looked so smart and grown up .. :o))

You guys certainly are, lol!! Had to phone the schooltoday re james, who was sent home yesterday sick. I said that he was a P4 pupil, only to be told, in no uncertain terms, that he is actually in P6!!!!!! Yes, even my own are growing up faster than my brain can keep up with!!!!

Sorry to hear James wasn't well David and hope he is much improved today ...
He will be at college or Uni before you know it , don't forget and stand outside the school gates ... LOL....
