Show off. Lol. Looks good Sand. Haven't had that many toms this year. Have a chutney recipe tho, if you'd like to try.
GREEN TOMATO CHUTNEY;
2lb green tomatoes.
1lb onions.
1lb cooking apples.
2 grren chillies.
2 cloves of garlic. (crushed)
1 teaspoon ground ginger.
generous pinch ground cloves.
generous pinch of turmeric.
2oz raisens.
8ozs dark soft brown sugar.
1/2 pint vinegar.
Finely chop tomatoes and onions. Peel, core and chop the apples. Chop the chillies.Mix all the ingredients together in a large saucepan, and add the garlic, ginger, cloves and turmeric. Stir in the raisens, sugar and vinegar, and bring to the boil.
Cover pan and reduce heat, then simmer the chutney for about 1 1/4-1 1/2 hrs or until it has thickened. Stir frequently to prevent sticking to the pan.
Pour into warm jars and cover with airtight lids.
Leave to mature for a few weeks.
Wrote this for you as you said you wouldn't mind trying another recipe. Have made this a few times and we love it. If you try it, hope you enjoy it. ;o))
