Wonderful Kathy. Mine has lots of small holes in the leaves ..... any idea what can be savaging it - guess I should spray it?

Yes, I agree Janey. I have now got Four of these. They are worth their weight in gold in winter, but I've never seen one so covered with flowers as this one. Have a look at the variegated form Bewleys' Variegated. It's lovely. Doesn't flower as prolifically, but makes up for it with lovely colour in the leaves.

Glad you all like it:-), it is a lovely shape isn't it Bellflower haven't pruned it at all, yet.
Yes I have a couple of others dotted around too, think this one must be in a really sheltered spot as it always does much better than the rest, can't believe the flowers are opening already, usually springtime.
Ooo wonder whats eating yours Dawn, have to keep my eye on this then.
Never heard of a variegated one Karen, sounds lovely, off to have a google now:-)

Just found your lovely Viburnum again Kathy.......can you tell me the height and spread? There are some that have been checked by the low temps at our local Homebase and are now 2.99.......think I may get a couple....:o))

This ones been planted 5 or 6 years Janey and would say its about 5ft tall by 4ft spread so not really fast growing, haven't pruned it yet but think I'll have to soon, read that it flowers on previous years wood so prune to shape straight after flowering so you don't loose next years flowers, 2.99 sounds a bargain :-)

Jiffy put a question on here on 31 Dec regarding nasty smelling V tinus hedge, turns out its this Viburnum beetle that eats the leaves which gives off this smell. I'm going to spray mine in Spring.

Couldn't get the tinus Eve Price Kathy, only the Viburnum davidii....which isn't a beauty...but it will fill a space and give winter colour....:o)
