Love the colour............

Thanks, all. This was a 'must-have' from the plant fair on Sunday. I managed to find a space on the stream bank for it. I'm glad I bought a smallish pot, though. It was hard work and a bit dangerous balancing and digging on a slope with water so close! lol.

Beautiful colouring, would like to have seen you digging on your bank!!

10 May, 2011

that's beautiful!

That's a stunner, gone to faves.

Thank you. :-))

I can't balance on the bank when Henry's in the garden - he runs up and down the stream and I get splashed! So he has to stay indoors when I need to do my balancing act! lol.

Hilarious.......

Huh! Not when you're the one trying to plant something, it isn't - he thinks it's a big game for his benefit, though. He barks joyously. :-/

Hello dear, are we expecting you on 22nd? I hope so..
Sorry Spritz, dont mean to hijack your post.

12 May, 2011

Where are you expecting her? (Being nosey:-)) I saw her today! :-D

14 May, 2011

Hoping to gather Sticki, Flori and Ba into one garden Spritz, please do feel free to come along..Bristol not too far from you..its open house for any of you close enough, just pm for the address! Just hope the weather holds...

Yes Tet, I'm going to take you up on your kind offer, I'll buy a ticket this week. Do come Barbara, Tet is going to paint herself white and stand in the centre of her beautiful new construction...what a treat!!! :-)

15 May, 2011

I was a little disappointed by what was on offer yesterday, were you? Most of what I wanted was sold out....still...managed to buy a few things, including the most fantastic geum and geranium blue sunrise. I'll put a blog on when I can. I spent a pleasant time on journey home reading Cotswold Garden Flowers catalogue. It's fantastic and she grades and passes comment on the plants.... a very good read. Neeless to say, I turned down the corner of many pages to mark plants I want. I would recommend this catalogue to anyone, it's far better than many gardening books...all it lacks is pics:-)

15 May, 2011

Wrong Ba! That dirty greyish white is my normal colouring!!

15 May, 2011

Thanks, Tetra - but I'm afraid I'm spending all the time in the garden, preparing for my open days. Are you able to come to one of them, do you think? You can wear grey/white/sky-blue-pink, whatever. :-))

Yes, Ba. Bob Brown writes in such an amusing way - it's my favourite catalogue. ;-)) I drool over it...

I agree about Malvern - we both said there weren't as many Nurseries as usual, and their stock was very poor.

I didn't buy much at all!

16 May, 2011

I notice you said "didnt buy much"...I would have been more surprised if you had said "I didnt buy anything". Since when have any of us gone to a show and not come back with something!!
I went to the Blagdon plant fair Spritz and bought 4 saxifrage Black Ruby!! I wasnt going to buy a thing...fat chance!

16 May, 2011

It simply doesn't work like that, does it. ;-)

17 May, 2011

that is beautiful, mine are all darker ones.

17 May, 2011

Yes, mine too. Simbad kindly sent me a white one, but there's no sign of flowers. :-(
