I'm waiting for the others to flower, now. Patty has a bud! Yessss!!!

Beautiful plants, mine is in bud, any day now.............if we get some sun!!!
9 May, 2009
We have sun today, some yesterday too, but a cold wind - I had my jacket on. I really want Patty to flower - she is new to me! The bud doesn't look tall enough to be ready to open yet.

If the weather is like ours I dont blame her, been so cold here today, its rain we want not cold!!
12 May, 2009
I've had the hose on - my poor plants were yelling for a drink!

Rained today.........there is a God....
14 May, 2009
We've had three days of constant drizzle. Now if it rained in the night and we had sun in the daytime.......

ah but we dont live in Camelot! I wish we did too as it really annoys when we are off work and cant get in the garden during the day.
My allegro [poppy not car] is forming some fantastic buds at the moment. cant wait spritz.

Mother Nature at her best! So fragile, so fleeting ( I'd have poppies 365 day's a year if poss!!) I have 'Orientalis' 'Picottee' and a white one that's lost it's label, only planted in the last year but are trying to flower.

beautiful poppy. I had a big clump of these in the garden a few years ago and last year they didn't come up, when I dug them up to see why the whole thing had rotted away. Such a shame as it was really beautiful when they were all out.

Maybe it was due to the really wet summers we endured? You should try again!

A real beauty, I love oriental poppies, havent had much luck with them though, must be doing something wrong.
15 May, 2009
Fab poppies are my new project I hope mine do as well as these lads
15 May, 2009
I have four now - I hope they will all flower as well as this one has!

Spritz my neighbour has the most beautiful pale pink poppy flowering in the middle of her gravel drive!! does this tell us something?
15 May, 2009
LOL. I hope she is careful when she gets in her car!

I love this flower. But my flower blooms are looking strange. Could this be some insect or a weather problem? We have had alot of rain, more than usual.
16 May, 2011
I expect that's it, Dcuagin. If they're still in bud, the buds can rot without opening if they're constantly wet. :-(
