Just goes to prove that it doesn't take a fortune spent on florist's flowers to make a stunning display. Home-grown, what could be nicer?

It's nice to pick flowers from the garden, they look pretty by your window :)

Thanks everyone.Im trying to grow more flowers for cutting.I get more satisfaction seeing a vase of flowers from the garden than from the florists .I always need flowers to take to my parents grave so this week I dug out that Buddleia bush which had grown too large and replaced it with some daisies ,lavender, germs, salvia etc so hopefully I’ll have more flowers to pick.

I think arrangements of home grown flowers are often nicer than florists ones which can be a bit formal for my taste. What often makes the difference is the bits of greenery we cut to go with the flowers. You'd never get a lovely "natural" one like this one from a florist.
