Bring me Sunshine.......

It's nice to see the sun. It makes you feel better doesn't it. We had a sunny day here too, but the snow has all disappeared, except for one or two cold pockets on the highest mountains.
Then pouring rain in the night ... better than snow :o) I hope it melts away soon for you ...

morning - and we have the garden back , the heavy rains came and washed the sugar snow away :) :)

Yes Gralew, it snowed all Friday night well into the early hours of yesterday, then the sun came out and started a thaw, last night it absolutely chucked it down for hours, got up this morning to see my garden all washed clean and sparkling in gorgeous sunshine, the only snow here is packed between the g`house and the fence. Yippee!!!!!!!!! I can walk down my garden path without holding onto the fence, my Hellebores are beginning to hold their heads up again, the snowdrops are all in bud and I can see them...

Thanks everyone for your comments, glad to hear everybody had some sun even though it was short lived.Woke up to puddles in the gravel area round the slab circle, (think we must have a bit of a dip there), but Hey Ho green green grass and bulbs peering out of the pots, theres life in the soil after all that white stuff! we didn't get any more s...(refuse to say it) Friday we were supposed to have some but none appeared. I can't have a good look round the borders because I've had strict instructions to stay off the grass(meanie OH, green stuffs his pride and joy) and tomorrow looks like its a washout, so I'll just have to wait. Gonna have small slabs in the grass so i can inspect MY borders!!

The weather report on 'Countryfile' was somewhat depressing - rain and strong winds for most of the week! Where will all the rain go this time?

Well I know where a lot of it is.......

Our conditions were like Gralew and Lincs, so in lovely sunshine we set out to visit friends near to Peterborough, well, acres and acres of fields under water, miles of it, the roads are generally higher than the land except for a few dips where we crossed impromptu fords, on the highest part of the route (Tilton on the hill) snow still covered the fields, in many places the floods were not near to rivers, brooks maybe. Its worrying to think its as bad as this before all the forecast rain......
