Spotted this pair busily scoffing the fresh ash leaves outside my house
They are a pair as I’ve watched them for the past week or so, canoodling & collecting nest items from next door’s hanging basket
Had I been more on the ball I could have started a picture gallery of their courtship and all that followed, too late now
Thought I’d post this, if only to show pigeons don’t just eat our peas & cabbages, and I’m quite pleased the way the picture turned out because it was taken through the glass of my window using my new camera

Well, they drive us mad at our veg plot.
They eat the cabbages and the kale. I have had a running battle with the shallots too. They throw them round the garden. I have wire mesh over them.

Yes they are not nearly as destructive as they are made out to be. They do poop a lot but all part of the ecology that we all seem to want if our wildlife is to thrive.
