Our daily bread :~)

My wonderful new neighbours are from Armenia and the lady of the house is a wonderful cook. Well we have been helping them with some garden hints and tips because the previous people just had a lawn and nothing else. Our new friends have purchased an apple tree and needed tools etc. so we have lent them a spade and fork and some multi-compost with grit and a sprinkle of bonemeal, in thanks and believe me we didnt need thanks, this beautiful home baked loaf came to our front door this morning, hand made with love, to thank us for helping and guiding our new friends and showing them how to plant their tree! Oh I was so touched, they are a delightful couple and have one son and a new baby on the way. Aaaahh.

Believe me its delicious!

I put this on my favourites ~ i think that is lovely!!! if only life could be like this!!
some friends of ours had a couple to stay in their house, while he studied ~ they were eastern european, when they left, to say thank you he built a pizza oven in their garden ~ its a beauty and they have had so many parties using it.

Thanks Pimpernel & yorks. We are lucky, I know, to have nice neighbours, it does make a difference. I remember when we arrived here we were the young ones with very old neighbours and we looked after them, made jars of jam etc. Now the tables have turned and we are the oldies living next door to youngsters, its lovely.
Sticki, I know what you mean and I agree, if only! I think the EE. people are kinder and more family orientated, thus the simple gifts, but, given with such love. I love the pizza oven idea too, so charming.

What a lovely gift and so nice to have neighbours who are friends too. My husband Harry is always doing little jobs for our nieghbours and Beryl the lady opposite has returned his kindness by making a beautiful Birthday Cake for my son Robin who is Autistic and 44yrs old in a fortnight he just loves a party, so I will take a picture to show you on the day!
