First thing this morning I went out onto the patio and had a look at my fruit and veg, for someone like me who is a novice to gardening I can’t believe how fast all the crops have come on !!I love it!!
Have decided to plant some more spuds that makes six lots to look forward to !

I'm so glad you're finding growing your own so much fun! I grew spuds last year in the bag that the compost came in! I tipped all of the compost out into one of those big plastic trugs, and as the potatoes grew I just filled the bag back up again! Got a grand wee harvest of yummy 'British Queens', sieved the roots out of the compost, and mulched one of the flowerbeds with it! Hey presto! And I still have a good plastic bag to line my clay pots with so they don't need watering so often! Total recycling!

There's nothing better greenfingers, I have 2 bags going + trailing toms and strawberries in hanging baskets, 3 miniature apple trees and one pear, Plum tree, and for the first time, 6 pepper plants in the greenhouse, its great when you dont have room in the garden for fruit and veg beds..

Love the sound of home-grown potatoes....I will have to get into veg gardening in a small way....next year though as we have our flower garden/borders to sort just now. It is obvious you are having a great time :)

I grew my first spuds this year in Asda & Morrisons bags for life. We had our first crop of "HomeGuard" last week.Mmmmmmmmm. Keep on growing the difference is amazing. Looking forward to Charlotte, Kestral, Intenational Kidney and some from a bag of asda spuds
( Harmony) which I planted. They actually look the strongest plants of all.
