Hellebore Day.

Hi everyone
Had a lovely day yesterday at Bosvigo House and Gardens in Truro for their specialist Hellebore Day and preview of their new woodland walk in aid of Shelterbox.
Boy! did you have to get their promptly at 10am to get the best plants. Carol Klein was there as a friend of the owner and was very chatty and helpful. (I wish she had got the new Gardener World’s job!). She chose a Bosvigo Double hellebore for me and it was great to chat to her. I find her obvious passion for gardening infectious and, more importantly for a novice like myself, achievable!
I will definitely be going back to see the Woodland Walk in full bloom in March/April and recommend a visit.
Horrah! It’s halfterm and the weather forecast is promising, at least for early part of the week so garden here I come! It’s Spring cleaning time!
Hope alls well with you and your gardens? I’m off to take a look and catch up with your news.
Love Jo x

So would I! I think I'll have to make an expedition to her garden - it's not that far, really.
Jo - that's a lovely Hellebore - I want to see the flower, please. I bet you had a great time. :-)

Met Alan Titchmarsh once - in the Classical section in HMV. I couldn't resist asking him a gardening question but since no one else had recognised him he didn't seem to mind. I couldn't believe how tiny and slim he is, given that he does all that hard physical work in the garden. Then I thought - hey, so do I, and I am only 5'5" and a 'lady'.

~saw him doing an introduction to the CHelsea flower show wearing a white suit a few years ago when we were there~ didn't seem so slim then but maybe he has lost weight! White makes you look bigger of course.
Thinking about visiting Carols garden in June.~

Can I come too Spritz to Carol's garden?! Has she got a nursery there? Love watching her at Glebe Cottage on Gardener's world and she makes sense of collecting seeds and doing cuttings for us novices!

Hello Gwendas
I know Bosvigo. I met with her & Carol Klein on a Hardy Plant Soceity outing. I live just along the road to Pine Lodge Gardens St. Austell. Do you know it? Wonderful gardens & nursery. Rare & Unusual stuff. Also in the summer March Villas gardens in Par. PamD
