My Head Gardener day!

Hello everyone
Thank you so much for all your lovely supportive comments and helpful hints (love the step/seat idea Clarice -will look into that if problem with back continues). I have still managed to be in the garden today despite my bad back but had help from my ‘under gardener’ Rog’s Dad so mine was a managerial role today – not as satisfying or enjoyable that’s for sure!
Lloyd was great though and planted 2 clematis, ‘Wisley Cream’ winter flowering
and ‘Fond Memories’ a summer one in a container
He also helped me repot sweetpea seedlings and pot three Dahlia tubers which had arrived – Chat Noir, Rip City and Bishop of Aukland – all dark reds for the summer border.
Then my dear Dad went to the GC as it was 10% off day and bought me 2 lovely pulmonarias which I had been admiring on some of your photos – thanks Spritz!- Blue Ensign and Trevi Fountain. Also he got some courgette seeds for my patio veg planter – April for those though isn’t it?
Am feeling it a bit now though even though I tried to be good! So thought I’d catch up on your news and photos sitting with my laptop looking out at the garden while the dreaded Man United match is on in the other room!
It’s not nice out there now – fine rain and wind off the sea and the light is going.
Hope you have all enjoyed your day?
Love Jo x

take it steady and you will be soon back in charge. I like the intense colour of the blue ensign pulmonaria.

Lovely gifts from your Dad. I hope your back is better soon.
I mowed my lawns while the sun was shining.
My Wisley Cream has yet more new flowers in bloom !
Your WC looks to be in a suitable place.....

Hi everyone just to let you know I'm feeeling much better today after visit to chiropractor. Still sore and more visits to her this week but I could've kissed her!
Thankyou so much for your support,
Rog is taking me to Burncoose Nursery on Sunday as a treat - lovely man! Hope he gets his wallet out - he does have a tendency to think garden purchases are my responsibility although he gets a lot of pleasure looking at it all! It's attached to the Caerhays Estate so may make a day of it and look at the cammellias there if weather improves by then.
Love Jo x

Sorry Catfinch just looked back at my inbox and realised it was your idea about the folding step-seat! Thank you. x
