Tomatoes (again)

A word of warning for tomato growers – MY bible ( gardening book !) told me that Roma toms were the ones to grow outdoor. So I grew 2 outside and 2 inside as an experiment.
The inside ones are 6ft high with 5 trusses ( 4 with toms turning colour) while the 1of the outside died and the other is 3ft high with 3 trusses – all with flowers only.
They were all treated exactly the same.
has anyone else tried this variety ?

Lincslass,
I understood tomatoes couldn't be frozen unless they were skinned, chopped up and boiled, as I was advised last year, but your comment appears to say you froze yours whole ? if you did please explain.

Yes Hank, I have been doing so for years, I grow so many and even though suppyling friends and family, still had so many going to waste I thought it was worth trying.
I pick them, wash, and place in the freezer that is all, the plums and cherry ones go in whole but I do halve the Alicante if they are large ones, they are used in my cooking as I said, the only difference I find from a can of toms is lack of colour but lets face it one can always add a dash of tom puree if wanted...
Not killed my hubby yet, lol, he loves his bacon and toms and I never have to buy canned ones, also good in bolognese and on pizza....
