The lower garden and waste

Ooh I ache. Due to the steep nature of the garden, I rely on my trusty Rhino bags to put the weeds in and then haul it up to the top. You have seen how steep the garden is! Rhino bags are used instead of a skip. You pay 5 pounds for this really robust bag that has handles and can hold a cubic ton. Normally you can call the Rhino company to collect but I don’t do that as its around 50 quid. I use one at the top as a holding bag until my 2 garden bins are emptied. I do pay each year to the council for my garden bins around 40 quid. That’s the most practical way for me to get rid of the rubbish. It is hard work though.
Now it seems that in the lower garden someone used old carpet to surpress weeds. How fantastic not to be bashing massive ivy roots.. The carpet is disintergrating as i blast away with the mattock. Thanks to the person who suggested it. Fab piece of kit. I am finding lots of tiny wild garlic bulbs. I want to remove as it will be my mijn seating area and I would rather not gave garlic wafting everywhere. Any tips?

I fill the large bag to a third full and yank it up the slope. No gate or access from the bottom. The carpet was already there and i am digging it up. The garlic is where the carpet ends.

Carry on with the carpet! Even garlic won't grow through that.
Are you trying to carry the large bag up that steep slope or filling several smaller ones to empty out into it at the top?
Or do you have a gate at the bottom?
