Rain at last

Bit fed up with this sight Holly,had the black clouds for a couple of weeks now up here, not always rain though, but I know the rain is very welcome for you, the trouble is once it starts it never seems to stop, the weather forecast this morning suggests showers until early next week, oh hum.. never mind at least getting a great crop of runners!!!

I am celebrating over here too, we have not had proper rain for weeks....I want more, my garden is still very dry.... :((((((

We too had our first rain yesterday afternoon. I like your pictures. I come from a sunny dry country and I very much appreciate rain, because rain is life. I hope we get more soon.

That's the trouble with British weather, its either all or nothing, wouldn't it be great if it was more continental, rain at night, sun during the day, perfect!

We had the same storm yesterday, Holly, but at least now I know Millie is not afraid of thunder, etc! In spite of the heavy rain the ground is still rock hard. I love Dido's idea of it only raining during the night - if only :)

I heard the thunder, Holly, had a 10 minute downpour late afternoon, collected just 1 watering can full of rainwater and garden back to dry again now ! I shall probably regret saying that and we'll have torrents of it ! : o )))

We've had some lovely rain too, lots of it in big bursts. Badly needed.

bet if I phoned my son in law down where you are he would say the sun is shining and he has been playing golf with his sun glasses on. Lol

Still so dry over our way, the rare showers we are getting are barely touching the surface! Know I shouldn't say it, but two or three days of downpour would do my garden the world of good, it is desperately needed here in west Wilts! Had a short shower today, but that was only because I had put some washing out to dry lol! My lawn now so yellow that I have to check out San's blog to remember what colour it used to be hahaha :~)) Nice blog Holly!

I expect you have had some rain now Floribunda.... my grass is getting green again now and have had some heavy showers this week.....

We had a good drenching the other day, and it's trickled a bit today, I can even see a blade of grass, and yes, it's green! lol, Still need a lot more water to really get down into the soil~we are never happy with what we get, are we? Gardeners!!

It has been an all too dry Summer for us here in my part of Wilts, yet the last previous three years, it didn't stop raining, we just can't win, Holly, and my poor plants were learning to breathe with snorkles!lol!
